Hi everyone!

I am Raymond T. Earlier this year, together with 4 other guys I held a dutch Transformers convention called TRANSFORMATIONS. As it turned out, it was the only OFFICIAL Transformers Convention in Europe, with complete and active backing from Hasbro. The convention, which was held on june 10th of this year in the city of IJsselstein, was a huge succes by dutch standards. We expected 100 plus fans to show and hoped to reach about 150 people for that day. It ended up having 216 paying visitors. Plus, unlike previous years, the fans didn't just visit, buy their stuff, make some small talk and leave. Most of them stuck around for the entire day. Most of the stands there just cleaned house and some were completely sold out by the time our convention had ended.

Since that convention, I've gotten some mails from fans in the UK asking if we would do a second one in 2008. Well, earlier this week the crew came together and decided to indeed put on a second convention. The messages and mails I got from UK fans were asking me if they would be welcome to come by then.

There is still no word if TransForce or AutoAssembly will put on a UK convention for 2008, and both had already cancelled their 2007 conventions. So I can imagine that the UK fans want to have a convention too. I would like to ask the UK fans, if they would be interested in attending our dutch Transformers Convention! If enough people from outside the Netherlands let us know that they want to be part of this, we might take this up in our plans and maybe look into arranging in the shape of Hotels and stuff.

Nice to see you again Ray I'd love to -  have a few friendsin your homeland - but no monies, time or language skills

We have a couple of Dutch members here though; maybe Iceman will be interested

But that is why I want to see if people from outside the Netherlands want to be part of this. If only a handful of people will stay at a hotel, there is little we can do. But if a whole lot of you come here for the convention, maybe we can work something out with a hotel for a better rate to stay overnight.

And don't you worry about your language skills... More people speak english here then they do dutch...

Habe sehr wohl verstanden was du wolltest, ich sagte ja von Deutschland, weil dass ist außerhalb von Niederland noch oder nicht? wenn du DANN  ein Datum  ausgedacht hast dann sag einfach an, werde mich wohl freuen.

I'd be tempted, but I honestly believe once I set foot in Holland I'd be straight down a cafe for a week.
