Very likely. The gimmick has to have something to do with the big baddie's rebirth, right? Though, unlike the Dinobots, the Key isn't really needed in Megatron's case. He seems disabled, but otherwise entirely functional.

I can't imagine why Megatron would need Sari's key to gain a new body either. But she's got a key so that she can be important to the story and not just a by-stander. I'm sure that the writers will concoct some reason for Megs or the decepticons to go after Sari's key.

I think the show is alright. Good writing.

Well I've just finished watching Total Meltdown, and I can see why it was skipped now.  It wasn't necessarily because of the violence, but more like it ruined the flow of the show that was set-up by the previous episode.

Oh, and I'd suggest to those wanting to download this by torrent to do so now, as yours truly is the only seeder for it at this time.

Can you send me details as to where you found the episode?!

Check your inbox, Kitty.

To me it was nothing, but the kiddies watching might have found the scene with (Meltdown using his melting powers on Bumblebee and Bulkhead) a tad unsettling.

Hang on, I thought we weren't allowed to post links to episodes in this thread.  Did the powers that be change their stance on this?

Let me check. I may have misunderstood our discussions. Clarification is coming.

I've now seen Thrill of the Hunt too, and wow, my desire to own (Lockdown) has just increase after seeing this episode.

Plus I'd be interested to know if anyone here thought of me when (Bumblebee pulled out that female figure).

Another good episode. No human involvement, just Autobots verses a Decepticon.

Comics Continuum have announced what Transformers Animated episodes we'll be seeing after Nanosec (Episode 8) in February.  And would you believe it, we're already getting repeats!
  1. February 9th - Total Meltdown (Episode 5)
  2. February 16th - Blast from the Past (Episode 6)
  3. February 23rd - Along Came a Spider (Episode 9)
  4. March 1st - Sound and Fury (Episode 10)

Oh for god's sake. That's just pathetic that they can't even get into double digits before getting to repeats. Can anyone explain to me why TV companies do this? Surely all the episodes have been made, why not just air them?

There is something wrong with Amercian TV companies. I can understand a few repeats if you're having a Christmas break, to help people remember and catch up on the storyline.

The BBC did it best with Heroes, a weekend of repeats after a main story arc half way through the season, but NOT interrupting the main series on Wednesday nights.

So basically we get the movie, 5 episodes, a week off and then repeats! Brilliant!

Maybe it's all because of the figure release time. I heard that the reason the new line isn't coming out until later in the year is something to do with the toy retail business. If all the episodes just air one after the other then by the time the toys come out the show will have finished.
I'll never have a good head for business - it makes far more common sense to just get everything out now. More and more of the figures are appearing in their boxes on the Internet, everything's ready to go but Hasbro are just holding it back for some bizarre reason.

Two good episodes there. I like Meltdown as a villian. He looks good and doesn't pull his punches. I think he'll be an issue for both Autobots and Decepticons in the times ahead.
The Thrill of the Hunt is what I'm hoping the series will shape up to be in general. Great stuff throughout. Autobots vs. Decepticons. Got to see some history of Cybertron along with another brief appearance of Ultra Magnus. Lockdown's just a badass character as well. Does anyone know if the figure will have interchangeable arms? It'd be a nice feature.
