That's what I mean. Characterization is defining a character and exploring them. It's obvious who's who, but we don't really know what they're thinking. Prowl finds a cat preying fascinating; why? What's underneath?

Again, I'm not complaining. It's early and we have time and room for all that, I'm just saying that TFA is good, but no reason to get carried away and over-praise it.

Ah I see what ya mean. I think it's still pretty evident even from the first few episodes that they'll explore the characters. And if they don't? Well then it'll come as a dissapointment to me. But even so, I already think it's better than the Unicron trilogy.

Having said that, It will be interesting to see where they will go with Starscream and Megs if and when he gets his Body back. Will he bow down will mMgs accept him? or will there be a twist where Megs gets a body but in the form of YEP Galvatron, and thus change his name? Which would help Saris father!!

He won't become Galvatron when he gets his new 'Earth mode' body, that much is certain.

His 'Earth mode' from the pictures and clips we've already seen of it simply screams Megatron (or more to the point Super Megatron) just from looking at him.

Very likely. The gimmick has to have something to do with the big baddie's rebirth, right? Though, unlike the Dinobots, the Key isn't really needed in Megatron's case. He seems disabled, but otherwise entirely functional.

Spoiler! Highlight to read: It has been confirmed that there will be a human villian called HeadMaster. Through a method not yet specified he acquires the ability to take control of Transformers. End spoiler.
