Indeed, and for a time it felt like that section was unmonitored by the powers that be because Freefalll had somehow managed to put off almost everyone barring me and a few others from visiting it.

Well all I can say here is what I already have written, Moderated by and adult for adults. What more should one say without being bleeding obvious and repetitive. I could name names, to who I think would be fitting, but I will leave this as it is. All I can say if the powers that be, or MODS did not watch over it right then tis obvious that chaos arised (and NO I am not finger pointing so please don't even think otherwise)That is however not my problem to question or fix. Shame though, if it was indeed so. Restructure or a step back to have a good luck at myself come to mind.

To be fair, what Blaster's proposing isn't in the same league as what Freefalll turned the adult forum into. He isn't asking for an adult forum, he's asking for a thread where we can have discussion around whats going on the world in a good honest manner.
Nothing wrong with that, it promotes debate which - if done right - is a good thing, (so long as Rosalie isn't involved!) but I don't think we need a thread for it, general non tf is fine for such things, but people just need to be careful how they word things.
Alot of the time it isn't a case that the material is offensive, it's the comments made by some people that seem to lack any thought, or just the way their worded.
I may have made comment that I don't think certain comments made by some have a place on the forum, but the subject matter is normally fine. I have no problem discussing Britney's steady decline, for example, but people do need to be careful HOW they discuss such subjects.

Exactly! well said. As I mentioned we are not all 18 any more *sighs gets Botox appointment for this afternoon* I think if we really do have "enough mods" then one who is lets say open for fair discussion and of the age could look over it, solely not being swayed by 101 others. Then I think as SLL put it we can openly talk about certain subjects with decorum and a intelligent thinking. God I know I have to work on that! I will be the first to admit it. However after 5 Days in Yorkshire again my English has improved (open to a bashing from Southerns at this point).

I know I have to censor myself due to topic content. Especially when Zadox Rox hung around a lot. Oh, man, it was hard not to cave in that guys Rose Bush coloured view of the world. I had to let it go.
The problem is that although this idea sounds fine, you never know what will set people off and what will offend them.
This is a Transformers forum, for good but with some implied boundaries.
Like Lagerlot said, be careful how you word your topic in General Non-TF. And then all should be fine.

Sorry, you wanted elaboration? I don't see why there is a need for anything. We have some pretty serious threads anyway which are only moderated if somebody is out of line. That's what a forum is. Don't really see why we'd need anywhere else, but convince me if I'm wrong.
