Victory is always going to be a boring show that is overhyped by people that think Star Saber is the "coolest" Transformer to ever grace the franchise.

And the funny thing is, the manga version is anything but.
The manga has actual character development and unlike the previous volumes, it doesn't require you to see the TV show to fill in the gaps.

Hey, I watched the whole series before.
I've only four episodes left of Masterforce and I can't really say I'm particularily excited about watching Victory again...maybe I'll take a break before it, read the comics, watch some other cartoons.

I don't think the manga would change my opinion of Victory unless it is something spectacular that can make me forget how much of a boring bastard Star Saber is.

I've managed to get to the introduction of ginrai on masterforce, but then my brain tends to get confused because it...isn't...optimus...prime... And i've managed about three episodes of victory, but don't ask me what happened, all i can recall is star saber walking about very slowly and some annoying dinosaurs... The rest draws a blank.

The interesting thing is, although it was Masumi Kaneda (the guy who conceived and worked on Masterforce) came up with the original concept of Victory, he worked solely on the manga adaptation whereas the cartoon was headed by some dude named Hiroyuki Hoshiyama (My hate finally has a name!).
I'm not really sure if that's a good thing though, because judging from the Zone story pages, his ideas became increasingly insane after Masterforce...
Battlestars seems to be the most "down to earth" of the lot.

Im starting Headmasters again and then im thinking about Masterforce. From what you guys have said I'll never see Victory as it'll be a complete waste of my life. (like the Rob Zombie remake of Halloween I was dragged to  )

im still trying to find english dubbed versions of vitcory and masterforce but becoming a pain now, i still want to watch victory dispite all the bad words about it
just carnt be bother with subtitles had enough with that on my gundams

There isn't any dubbed versions is there? I thought it was all subtitles. As bad as the Headmasters dub was at least I dont have to sit there reading subs for a whole season

You make sound like watching subtitled shows is some great almighty chore, when in fact it isn't. Seriously, you're missing out on a lot of decent stuff by sticking purely to dubs.

Thing is I work fulltime in a nightclub so I have to watch dvds when I get a min. Reading a book these days is hard enough without having my eyes grow heavy so trying to read subtitles on a tv screen is a near impossibility

i undersdtand what your saying with teh subtitles, but i find that trying to read and watch the action at the same time is a pain, especially with all the action on gundam seed and destiny
i know theres a dubbed version of masterforce, but can only get it from australia, so there has to be one fo victory, if not then ill have to but the subtitle version
but i carnt understand why they would dubb headmasters and not the others

You do get used to doing both after awhile, but even then I'll admit there are times where it is difficult to keep up with subtitles. Especially when you've got series like Kare Kano that have a ton of on-screen text to read in addition to the dialogue.
Oh, and StarTV did dub Masterforce and Victory by the way. Metrodome just decided not to include them on their box sets, that's all.
