Indeed it is - I hope that he'll sell it to me.  Fingers crossed.

I’d let you have mine for say …. 5k.

Seriously though, I’ve pretty much got a full set of BTs and these three were the biggest pain in the backside to get hold of.  I lucked out with Grimlock selling for £20 at FB, I had to buy Prowl with the blue version for a combined £80 and the only way I got Meister was from buying a set of 8 BTs, 7 of which I had to flog.

I’m in a similar position to you in that I need a Clear Mirage and Zoom-Zoom, because most of these figures are now in private collections I think we are both going to have to splash the (big) cash on Evilbay to get what we want.

I'd have thought the biggest pain in the ass Binaltech to acquire would be Black Convoy, it was a Japanese convention exclusive after all.

I'm after Prowl now, since it's the only BT I'm missing except Wheeljack. And it really is rarer than hen's teeth.

It may be hard to get, but is it worth it? It's probably the weakest Alt mould, and in light of the mould's shortcomings, Alt Nemesis Prime is a perfectly acceptable stand in at a fraction of the price. Plus, if it's solid diecast, you can bet that it's going to chip like mad if you take it out of the packaging and/or transform it.

If I were to give my normal biased opinion on the subject, I'd say black repaints are always worth it.  Not to mention I got mine for $89, which only sweetened the deal for me.

Black Convoy and Clear Ligier are of course the two hardest BTs to get your hands on due to them being exclusives, with Meister and Prowl being the hardest to find from the normal retail line.

I don't have either of the exclusives, I would like Ligier (although the packaging is a bit pants) but I've never bought into the black repaint Convoy = Black Battle Convoy/Nemesis Prime/Scourge or white repaint Convoy = Ultra Magnus.

Alt Prime and chicken porn Kiss Convoy will do for me.

Chicken porn?  Kiss Players gets enough stick as it is without us adding bestiality to the loli filled mix.

Okay chaps, update time.  Thanks for your comments by the way...

I've secured a deal for BT Streak and White Meister (with some Reprolabels applied).  I've also got a BT Wheeljack coming too.  Not bad for a months' work...

I've also got wind of a MISB White Meister which I'm very likely to get.  It's always nice to have a spare.

I reckon I can grab Grimlock but Police Prowl is being a real bitch.  To be honest he's a lacklustre Binaltech compared to some but I still want him - damnit!

I've seen the clear BT Liger for sale on Ebay - there's no way I could spend £125 on that - yet.

It's American slang, nothing to do with bestiality ... but as I associated it with the Kiss line you can probably guess what it means.  I don't think I'll ever truly understand Japanese pop culture.

Good work on the hunting JetfireUK.  2 white Meisters, not bad.  £125 for Ligier .... can't say I'm not tempted - I hate it when you really badly want a figure but don't think it's worth the cash it's going for.

The bestiality thing was a joke, but in truth I guess you could say it crossed that line with the release of the cassettes and sparkbots.

I gotta try and get me another couple of Alts/BTs...

Wheeljack and Ravage still seem to be reasonably accessible, but as for the rest... Well, other than the ones I already own, I don't think I've ever even seen any others in stores!  I might go online to track down a couple, but I'm not spending ludicrous amounts of cash on any of them!

Okay update time.  My Wheeljack came in the post today and I'm so pleased!  My Alternator version just looks so plain next to him!

Still waiting on the other two BTs - being patient isn't my strong point but I'm sure they'll come soon.

I can help you out with Zoom Zoom - check out www.tfzone.co.uk  - I bought one off Duncan a month or two a go MISB.

As for an update - White Meister arrived along with Streak!  I removed the Reprolabels as I didn't think that they suited Jazz.  I must be a BT purest or something!

That leaves me with BT-1 Smokescreen, BT-6 Yellow Tracks, BT-10 Grimlock, both Prowls and the BTAs to find!

Searching for BTs on ebay is a depressing experience. The listings are full of KOs, and there's a real surplus of BT Skids too (surely these aren't KOs too?). And just for good measure, you get the twonks who do the "Binaltech Alternator" listing stunt, so you have to wade through lots of Alts as well.

A worldwide search for "Binaltech" gives 115 listings. Once you've told it not to include Alternators, KOs, and Skid/Skids, you're left with 32 listings.

Archonia still have both blue and yellow Tracks, as well as blue Prowl.

A year, possibly two ago, I could have gotten you the yellow Tracks for just shipping (and a wee bit of profit ), as I had much more than the 2500 points required for him. I lost all because I didn't order for too long after that though.

I've never been a user of Ebay as I've found forums fairly good for trades.  When I have looked on Ebay.co.uk - I've only seen a few listings and the majority of those have been knockoffs.

I've been fairly lucky with my figures so far - I've managed to acquire BT Streak, Dead End, BT Blue Tracks, White Meister and BT Wheeljack within the past six weeks - with a MISB White Meister and BT Skids in the pipeline...

Iceman - thanks for the link

I'd like to get a lot of the figures MISB but so far the 2nd hand trades have been very good with hardly any chipping to the paintwork.  Ironic considering that I bought a MISB Ravage which had a huge scratch on the front panel.

Do you think that my chances of finding a C9 Police will be nil?

I can wholeheartedly recommend Archonia, a very reputable company with excellent customer service ... just a pity the Euro is so strong.

Police Car Prowl will eventually turn up on the forums - but I did do a worldwide Ebay search and there are plenty available.  Average BIN price for MISB is about £70.

I remember selling a BT Wheeljack and BT White Meister on forums not so long ago. On some forums people started screaming bloody murder when I asked  75 euro's (58 pounds) and 100 euro (75 pounds). Nowadays people pay even more for them.....

It's just weird....

I remember having White Jazz, Police Prowl and Grimlock about a year ago and people wanting Grimlock more than the others!

Still, I love the finding element of buying figures so it works out well.

I've a couple of questions - what were the 2 Binaltechs after Skids  I think that the line is re-starting with BT18 - which figures were BT-17 and BT-18?

IIRC, they were Wonderfest Nemesis Prime and clear Mirage.
