Or to be incredibly anal, Black Convoy and Rijie Electro-Disruptor Mode.

Cheers Fellas - I guess that these two were exclusives/convention only figures?  All I've been able to find on them is that they were expensive.  Bugger.

Am I correct to think that Nemisis is Diecast whilst Mirage is in clear plastic?

Maybe these two are out of my price range!

Yup, Nemesis is solid diecast, while Mirage is all plastic. They're both certainly expensive, though Mirage is easier and cheaper. Personally, I'd just make do with Alt Nemmy Prime. It's far far cheaper, and the mould is pretty poor, so why pay a fortune for it?

Because your Binaltech collection would be incomplete without it.  Even more so if you feel compelled to own every numbered release from BT-01 through to BT-22.

Still, if his budget doesn't stretch that far, then there's not a whole lot that can be done about it.
Whoever said money is no object was clearly mad.  Or Bill Gates.

Being a Transformer completest can drive you to insanity.  To have a complete BT collection you would need to own 4 Smokescreens ... I'm just not prepared to do that.

As long as I have the molds, in either Alt of BT form I'm not too bothered.  Why pay the massive price for clear Rijie when Alt Mirage is a much better figure and much cheaper.

The desirability of clear plastic probably.  There's just something about it which makes it so fascinating, almost like a thing of beauty.

I certainly wouldn't be a BT completist and have 4 different versions of Smokescreen or track down that weird coloured Meister feat. "Mayuko Iwasa" edition..  At the moment I'd be happy to have one of each mold from BT-1 to BT-16.

I am finding it hard to resist getting the Encore line from No 1 onwards as well as Binaltechs but I can really only afford the cost and space of one line.

That pink and yellow one?

You will be lucky to find that, since there's only one in existence!

Would anyone actually want to see more than one of this repaint?

It makes a lot of Hasbro's tacky coloured Universe repaints look good.

That photo makes me cry.  I understand that the money was for charity but why the lurid colours?

For that you'd need to ask Mayuko, as I think she was the one who picked them.

Glit and Rosanna weren't too bad.  Sundor however had a Sunstorm-esque fugliness about him.

Aye, Glit is indeed awesome. Sadly the same cannot be said about Sundor and Rosanna. ¬_¬
