If he DOES regenerate into someones else, then they managed to keep that one DAMN quiet. And concidering every major spoiler since the series began ended up leaked, that's some achievement. And if he doesn't.. Well then people will rage at a lazy cliffhanger resolving itself with a cheap deus ex machina (see:Rise of the Cybermen) seeing as a Dalek ray is supposed to be always fatal, glancing hit or not. If he does change then that wipes out the River Song timeline (who is supposed to meet the Doctor with his Tennant face) and although all in all, RTD HAS actually managed not to do anything stupid at all these last few episodes, I fear for the resolution of this regeneration.

not nessecarily will it destroy either timeline the writers have been very clever with Doctor who so far introducing seemingly meaningless things that have crucial timelines later on i.e the pmpie episode

No, it doesn't. She states he's the youngest she's ever seen him. Doesn't say anything about what he looked like.
I also doubt we'll ever see the River Song storyline on-screen. It's the next equivalent of the Time War. The Doctor needs angst from somewhere!
He's not going to regenerate. Even if he does, it'll al be reversed by wibbly wobbly timey wimey by the end of it, and we'll hate RTD forever.

Was anyone else amused by the 'lets phone up the secondary characters from the spin-off shows and tell them not to bother coming in' macguffin?

Next Doctor's David Morissey.
Inside info. You heard it here first if it turns out to be true. Supposedly spotted in-costume.

Just read that too. If true, that sucks. I really really like Tennant as the Doctor.

just did a search for david morrissey dr who. Found a picture. He's in the christmas special (with Tennant), in funky doctorish clothes, but the christmas special is set in charles dickens/ christmas carol times, so his outfit fits that period. doesnt rule out that he's taking over, but i think it seems less likely.

We can only hope. Tennants been fantastic as the doctor and his image and charisma has done wonders for the 'brand'. He's far more marketable than Eccleston was, and his character has yet to go stale.

Tennant is my favourite Doctor of them all. He's perfect at flipping from the laughing, joking Doctor to the serious, "everything's f**ked" Doctor. I persoanlly believe Doctor Who will become a lesser programme without him in it.

It's all one big wait-and-see, folks. One thing is certain though, never has an episode left so eagerly awaiting the next instalment like this one! One thing narks me, though: last year the wrist thingy on Jack was able to teleport him, the Doctor and Martha across mult-millions of years back to Earth, yet this year he can't take Ianto and Gwen from Cardiff to London in a matter of seconds? WTF!?!

The Doctor depowered it at the end of the episode, remember? Then revealed he was The Face Of Bo.

But its just a standard one isnt it? The Doctor souped up Jacks to chase after the Master, then depowered it again. I can't remember how powerful its supposed to be normally.

This cliffhanger is so big, it made BBC news. Took me by surprise. It even showed Lizo holding the master tape.

Wow, just wow (No, I won't spoil it...yet) But one thing to have come from this episode: IT'S ONE HOUR, FIVE MINUTES IN LENGTH! Now that's some overrun!

I was disappointed by the episode. Some things were done fantastically well, others just felt like a cheap kop out.
