Bah.
Cop-outs all around! Humiliating defeat of the Daleks and for the second time, a companion who's stated will die DOESN'T die, but 'sort-of' does.

There were some golden moments though. German Daleks were hysterical.

Well, that wasn't bad. Had the usual RTD cop out endings and such, but was mostly satisfying. And at least now we don't have much guessing to do with regards to Tosh and Owen's replacements on Torchwood, do we?
Did they do something with the one-heart doctor's make-up to make him look more human, or was it just the lighting on billie's alt world?
And did those cybermen on the teaser at the end look giant-like to anyone but me, or is it just too late to be watching tv because i couldn't watch it earlier because of one of my inlaw's pissing bloody crap birthday party?
And are the daleks actually completely destroyed from existance again, or were they just exploded?

I thought it was quite good, a solid 4/5. Massive cop out on the regeneration though and had a few silly bits throughout but was 10 times better than last year's Finale.

Seeing as all Daleks had to return to the crucible to avoid the effects of the reality gun, and the crucible was blown up (Davro's last lines were delivered with such venom! ) then its logical they all perished. However, they'll never truly kill them off.
I think they need to start creating some new machine orientated monsters. The humanoid ones they create just aren't as impactful.

Davros could have shifted if he wanted to, so the door is open if they ever want to bring him back.

Spoilers below. Basically, some of you were right.
Doctor Who will apparently come face to face with a future version of himself in this year's Christmas episode. According
to The Sun, the Time Lord sees a damsel in distress, and as he goes to
save her she is intercepted by another man - the Doctor from the
future, played by David Morrissey. "He steps forward to save her
when this other man swings in, dashing, brilliant, amazing, clever,
witty, saves the day," the show's creator Russell T Davies is quoted as
saying. The two Time Lords then become companions for the duration of the festive episode.

it'd be nice if they were brave enough to actually introduce the 11th Doctor before we see the 10th regenerate, but I don't think this will ever happen. unless the actor is already committed to being available for future series - I think Russell's being a tease and this will turn out to be just a dashing Victorian... Doctor, who could possibly be an adventurer/explorer in his own right.
