To be fair I was mostly doing other things, but it hardly kept me interested. The historical episodes usually bore the crap out of me though, so I wasn't expecting much.

Thought tonights episode was your average Doctor Who romp with some good humour in places, it had some brilliant bits and some not so brilliant. Great performances all round ('specially Fenella Woolgar), apart from the Unicorn and the Vicar's buzzing which was quite cringe worthy.
I'd give it a 3.5/5

Sontarans! Not the best two-parter, but if you squash it down, it's not that bad.
Whereabouts are you on the Sarah-Jane stuff at the moment?

I thought the Agatha Christie episode was more good than bad. I loved the murder mystery aspect of it and the cluedo reference!
Didn't really dig the Wasp aspect of it though, would have liked it better if it was another alien. The Vicars buzzing was cheesy as hell.
I loved how it addressed the aspect of the missing week in her life though.

YES.
Radio 4 announced on the news that Moffat's in charge of series 5 of Doctor Who.
YES.
I think I just orgasmed at the screen.

I thought that after this series they were doing three feature length specials then taking a break for a year? Any theories on the missing bees that gets mentioned almost every episode? Im loving this season. I've never been a big Catherine Tate fan, cant stand her comedy, and wasn't overly impressed with her in The Runaway Bride but she's been brilliant this series. So much better than Donna

There is indeed a set of specials next year. The year after that series 5 is airing, and Moffat's in charge. :D

As well as The Empty Child 2-parter (Are you my Mummy? MUUUMMMMYYY!!)
Best news I've heard all day, bloody good scriptwriter! Hopefully RTD won't claim he did all the creative triumphs now (It's quite obvious people like Moffet and Cornell can stand out on their own without interference!)

Eheh- orry, didn't realise I'd ommited his first name. Steven Moffat.
As said- tends to write the series favourites.

f**k yeah. Maybe now it'll be written more akin to a science fiction show. With plot lines that make sense and stories that don't contradict themselves every five minutes.

RTD's been wanting to break away and have the freedom to do more independant projects for the last couple of years. He just wanted to place someone he could trust could do justice for the series: either Moffat or Paul Cornell fitted that bill perfectly (anyone who's read the New Adventures would agree that his novels were the best).

Agreed (Although a whole series of those episodes might alienate some of the kids!)
