Ok..soldiers from the sky would be Headmasters, so that's set after G1 season three, and replaces The Rebirth.

Masterforce and Victory follow on afterwards.

All three series were dubbed (poorly) into English by StarTV.

And watching 'em in Nihongo isn't so bad, as you do pick up on some of the words the more you hear them.

Coming from a fandub group, I should suggest a pretty good site for you to check out. But I'm getting a little guilty for plugging my buddies' wears a little bit. Not that it matters, for the moment only three HM episodes have been dubbed and we're now in the process to dubbing Twincast's debut ep. But Victory is in the late 20's now.

Other than that, Takara Collection or TVNihon are the best bet. Just promise me that you won't watch the StarDub (It's so awful, it makes Godzilla sound like poetry)

I have the latest release of the 3 Takara boxset series and have recently finished watching them, Head Masters with the US dub and the other 2 with the subtitles....

are you saying that i didn't have to sit through days of subtitles?

(Not that i have a problem with subtitles in fact i started watching HM with the subs on, just when its 3 in the am and your desperatly trying to get through a boxset before dawn sometimes all you want is a bad Us dub to save you!)

It wasn't even a bad US dub, but a much worse recording effort from Hong Kong (I think) that happens to be in English.

Yeah, according to the mighty McFeely () the dub was done by the same studio that did the early Godzilla movies, hence the reference in my ealier post.

As for a taster of what I mean, here's a vid with our dub's Victory episode 23, I can't claim any involvement: This is purely the work of the two guys who run TFCog - Brandon Williams and Peter Tagstrom.

Chances are: If they're the official ones then only one boxset is dubbed (and not in a good way), if all three ARE dubbed, then they're bootlegs of the dumbdub (I don't know of anyone who's dubbed everything).

Get them while they're still affordable: TV Loonland have now sold off Metrodome as well as the TF license! They're gonna be super rare not before long!

You'll be looking for a long time then.  Cause there isn't any.
