i ended up canceling my orders that i had through hasbrotoyshop, it was a bit ridiculous that i ordered all the TFA wave one figures in April and while store after store was recieving thier stock I was put on the backorder list, So i ended up ordering through Bigbad, and my stuff is on its way......just wanted to let everyone know that i would not recomend ordering from hasbro directly for new stuff..........

The convenience of their service across the pond must be worth its weight in gold.

I order most stuff from Fan 2 Fan in Japan, it actually arrives quicker than from the US.  Although the extra postage costs seem to make it cost same as buying from the US.  But, as far as I know, BBTS won't mark your stuff as 'Gifts' so you don't get stung as easily by Customs and Extortion charges.

It's the value of the parcel that is most important, and not so much what it's marked as.

I know, but its makes alot of difference when you're paying in dollars. I think it's £16 before you get sung on commercial Items and £30 for gifts.  So that's anything up to $60 that customs will ignore if it's marked as a Gift.

£18 and £36, those are the limits before they sting you.  But ultimately the overall effect is the same so long as its undervalued, although I haven't personally tried getting one of my 'blatantly over the limit' parcels past customs via the £18 restriction.

Is it Customs that do the nasty in the first instance, then hand it to your post office so they can annoy you with it?  Everything I order (blatantly over the top stuff from Japan) goes through no problem, also most stuff that the sellers will not lower the amount on goes through.

But in the neighbouring town, my best friend gets hit every time.  I now order stuff for him, cos he was having to pay charges for exactly the same items from exactly the same online shop as me.

Customs are the ones that add the VAT fees, after that Royal Mail/Parcelfarce will kindly take it off their hands (without asking you of course) and bill you for this wonderful service under the sham better known as the 'clearance fee'.
