A kids' franchise?

Okayyy - and yet it was okay to include a shot of the Constructicons opening fire into a crowd of bystanders in a 'kids' comic book? To have Megatron obliterate a skyscraper full of people? Or to have multiple mentions of the word 'dammit'?

Well, Dammit is a kiddy friendly alternative to 'Poop' or 'darn and bumcheese'. Don't want none of that offensiveness making it's way into our comics, hence dammit.

There's been blood in previous IDW comics- Optimus kills that bloke in Escalation who's stupid enouh to crash into his foot.

Even as recently as Reign of Starscream- Salazar exploded in Starscream's cockpit.

Even if blood is an issue, decapitating Runabout and then crushing his head will NOT scare kids? I think they are well aware that Beavis and Butthead are dead now, and won't be coming back.
