Put bw and bm in with g1 (call it g1 continuity or something), give animated It's own section and watch the dust gather on the remains of the post-classic section.

I really don't think so. During the past couple of seasons it hasn't generated much discussion, and now the "ZoMg New!" factor has died off it's only going to decrease and effectively die off when the series eventually ends like all before it.

The cause has my vote. I think that the Beast Wars thread has had its days and in a way the true classic transformers was gen.'s 1 and 2. I don't regard BWs as a true classic

I don't, since General gets 90% of the TF posts anyway. Although after the backlash last time we tried merging them I don't think we'll be trying it again in a hurry.

Well, we have "Post classic" so leave that as is, and merge G1 and BW into "Classic era"

Or if people moan about the terminology then "Vintage" and "Post-2000 TF's" or something...

Also, I reckon Member collection and Fan art could be merged and the downloads forum got rid of.

Hmm. It would make sense to put G1, G2, BW & BM under a 'Classics' heading, with RiD, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Animated under 'Modern Era' as SLL states, defining them along historical lines.
