TFormers have posted a gallery showing Hasbro's up-and-coming 25th Anniversary Prime in it's box. Nothing really new to see here, but despite the figure having long smokestacks in the promotonal shots and even in the image on the back of the box itself, the actual figure still has short ones. This annoys me somewhat as I don't own a longstacked Prime so was gonna pick this one up until I saw this.

I appreciate Hasbro making an effort with this, but I ultimately see no point in it when Takara-Tomy have continuously reissued the bloody thing every chance they get.

I think I might buy it. But then, I don't own a Prime figure anyway.

That 3rd picture reminded me of Powermaster Prime. He has a similar pose on his box art.

The shortened smokestacks are a little off-putting, but I MAY pick this up if I can, if for no other reason that I never owned the original G1 Prime.

So, Hasbro's idea of commemmorating Prime's 25th anniversary is simply to re-release his original toy, and include a DVD, reissue comic, and what looks suspiciously like a voice box?  They really need to exhibit more creativity...

There's already a thread about this in the News section, isn't there?

Anyhoo, I'm somewhat undecided about this one.  It'd be cool to get me a G1 Prime, but the comic and DVD aren't doing much to sell it to me.  And my G2 Prime has a voice box already.  Though if I see this come out at a reasonable price over here, I might just throw caution to the wind and get it anyway.

Maybe.
