While not a fan of Shia (whose acting I think is vastly overrated), I do agree it'd be silly to reshoot the movie based on his constant runins with the law.

Although I would recommend Bay finish all Shia's shots quickly in case he ends up in the cooler.

 Maybe they could give him a silly robotronic hand that transforms into a gun. That way Hasbro could sell a new roleplay toy for the kiddies! And like those guns that are molded in the style of certain characters (like Ratchet etc) it could have Shia's face painted on the side to make it look extra cool and fun.
