Yes, wouldn't we all like to go to the supermarket and get free carrots as well as see to that annoying neighbour who went shopping the same time as us.

I wouldn't mind Megs being a tank. Whatever he will be will probably have a lot of 'bang', so long as he's not a shoe
With the Transformers franchise now endlessly reinventing itself a la Power Rangers (yeah, thanks for that), I'm sure it'll sink or swim under its own merits.
BTW, I did think that the Allspark was a bit rubbish if it could be destroyed by plugging it into a TFs spark-core. I thought it was supposed to be this thing of massive cosmic significance and it goes out like a wet fart.

What's even more irritating is that Starscream (all i'm going to say about his design is that Roger Hargreaves should be getting royalties for Mr Rush's design) thinks he can build his own allspark just by copying the blueprints out of frenzy's head. Surely that would be like photocopying God.

..i just kept thinking of Dairylea triangles.mmm.processed cheese.
its a hollywood sequel. the law of dimishing returns will set in and we'll get allsorts of bunk thrown in. so long as they don't belatedly think to turn it into a trilogy leaving us with a weak ending.

So the inside source confirmed Megs for TF2 then?

So true, fudgecrumpet. Though, I've seen stranger when I drew a Sonic The
Hedgehod fan art of Knuckles. Ugh...
Megatron was a tank for the Armada series, which I personally believe is the
best post-classic era series, so why can't he be one now? :D It's fine with
me.

Tank: Fine with me all be it really slow as an Alt mode. Better than a bloody hand held Gun. However we should not forget this is heavy speculation nothing more nothing less.

Megatrons' never been about speed though has he. It's always been about brute force, so a tank is very apt.
And like I said before, he's been a tank more than he's been anything else, so it seems the logical choice.

Well, then again, the fallen could just refer to the killed decepticons.
Speaking of which, I liked Jazz in this movie.

It's okay if he turns into a tank. I'm just wondering - how does a tank disguise itself driving down the middile of town, crushing the road as it goes and then sometimes shooting buildings down or running over people? It'll be pretty quick for people to realise it's not a normal tank. I do think the Cybertron Megatron had an okay design of a triple changer - maybe they could do that? Not that I liked the Unicron Trilogy at all though (but some of the toys weren't too bad). We'll just have to wait and see though.
On a side note:
Peter Cullen (interviewed - see Seibertron) said he saw a preview as he walked out from doing his voice recording one day and the man himself said in the interview that he couldn't believe what he saw and that it is going to be an absolutely amazing movie. The voice of Optimus Prime said that, people. So whatever Megs turns into, I'm sure it'll be pretty stunning.

I don't think we should get our hopes up based on that. with about a year to go, there is no way any of the effects will be on film yet, except maybe in a pre-vis way. We can assume that he thinks the plot is good, but as for how the bots will look, i think its still too early to tell.

Have you seen the first movie? we've had tanks, helicopters, mine sweepers, already. They managed alright, disguising themselves on military bases up until they were needed to fight.
and besides, Megatron cares not for disguise.

You're quite right. Why didn't I think of that? Well, I guess it's okay, as long as they don't spend too long blowing up military peope this time (although some of that was funny - one of my favourite parts of the movie was with the Visa and the telephone call).

if megs is in the movie, and he isn't a tank, then it would have to be something just as powerful, the only thing i can think of seeing as we have seen pics from the set is the SR-71 Blackbird, it's big, fast and carries a nuclear payload.
just leaves the cannon, but, because the sr-71 carries a missile payload it could be disguised as that.

add Bushy eyebrows to that and a massive Nose and a Locksmith permit
