This caught my attention:

Though it may be a rumor, we must never forget, with Bay nothing is impossible

Bay is full of impossibilities.  He couldn't make a single movie without explosions if his life depended on it.

I always thought Movie Wreckage looked like Megatron. An adaption of that would look good. He has a suitable alt mode, colour scheme and head mould.

Wouldn't have a problem with a tank Megs at all. He's been a tank more than he's been anything else. Though, I remember when we all thought that Brawl was gonna be Meg's alt mode.

Although a tank mode fits him, it will confuse casual people who will think it is Brawl. Err, I mean Devastator...

Two tanks can work with a large set of characters, but with about 15 'Cons in both movies combined it's too much.

The only problem with a tank, which never seems to come up in any of his previous tanky appearances, is the speed.

If he is a tank, then his speed, or inherent lack thereof, shouldn't present too much of a problem.  Slower characters tend to make up for their lack of mobility with their superior strength.

What was up with the mistake with Brawl and Devastator?

Don't pm me. Rarr.
Megs being a tank suits me, It's better than a bloody stupid lumpy space jet. Although that artwork is so obviously just some fan art based on idw's infiltration cybertron mode megs redesign, and is so far from the established movie style that i doubt it would ever be used.
As for speed, who's to say he can't have a couple of cheeky cybertronian rocket boosters hidden up his ass?

I'm not sure the tank will "lift-off" that well though...

Boo!  It would have been funny to see him fly like the Rhino tanks in GTA III.

He could be a triple-changer, like G1 Blitzwing. He'd be a tank when he needed to stay on the ground and a F-15 or F-22 when he needed to be airborne.

No triple changing, no.

Actually as they can  scan almost anything, they would be no need for a triple changer really. He could be a Tank for one Shot and his old self in the next, logically speaking. If Bay way gonna F**k with the hardcore fans, and ruin the child even more!! he could easily do that with Prime again. Could give him a trailer add some white in the scene, then it would be "but that's Ultra Magnus" or he couold have a mobile home attached and the Geeks would scream "thats bloody Rodimus" God for bid if Starscream gets a red and white paint over... BUT if Bay was to do the following in TF2 I would say... OI BAY NO!

Maybe he will be a quadruple changer Megs->gun->tank->jet.
