Shame that. When I saw the posts on my "Shop" thread, I thought that could be a blast. But I'm guessing that later in the year might be a better chance as well (Two trips to London in recent times has made me broke as well).  We'll see.

Ok, this isnt really getting anywhere. Lets arrange a meet in london for September, AND set a date for either later in the year, or the start of the new year for those who cant make the Sept meet.

I can make the 27th, but can I put in a request that we move it back a week to October the 4th? The reason I ask is that I'm going to a gig in Brixton then so I can make on trip for 2 things. If majority wanna stick with the 27th I'll do that too but obviously travel would be cheaper just making 1 trip rather than 2.

Sounds like it's be a good laugh. Unfortunately, there's no way I could even entertain the notion of making it.
Living, as I do, in Scotland's central belt, I'd be looking at as much as £252 for a standard open return train ticket from Edinburgh to London. It's nearly a 900-mile round trip! Then additional expenses for taxis/buses to and from the station to wherever the meet was, further expenses for hotel or B&B accommodation - and that would all be before I even got to sink a pint, eat some lunch or buy some stuff!
Not fair!

Best thing to do is organise a meet for the Midlands/north. We generally have seperate meets for the north and south throughout the year and then have one big one once a year, generally at AA.

Course, none of the good members would be there....
