Whatever reference I read, I get told that the Ark was only referred to as such in the comics prior to Beast Wars. The cartoon is said to have never named the Autobots Ship.

Now, I know this was true of the Nemesis, but I could have sworn that it was frequently referred to by name in the comics.

Am I just losing my mind, or are wikipedia et all talking complete rubbish?

as well help you to be. and I think wiki true about cartoon would be same name ark and Nemesis in G1.

I don't remember it being named in the original G1 cartoon, but hell, I don't remember anything of the G1 cartoon other than that episode when Gears got all happy.

I shall endeavour to watch some of the telly show tonight and find out. It might be worthwhile just looking at the tv-show scripts from the dvds to save having to sit through megatron building ANOTHER gun.

Nope, it was never called the Ark in the cartoon - just "Autobot Headquarters." But if you want to wiki up some TF info, bugger Wikipedia, and go to the Transformers Wiki.
