Hi I'm new here and I've been wondering,Bumblebee is my favorite character in Transformers Animated,and I wanted to know if anything bad happens to him later on in the series??Does he die?Or is he fine and still lives with Sari and the other autobots?Thanks

Maybe it's me, but with the series being as kid-friendly as it is, I doubt they'll actually kill any of the main cast. No doubt they'll write in some sort of serious injury for Prime, to sideline him for a while, but they probably won't kill him off. Remember what happened the first time they did that?

No sorry,I've only started watching Transformers and I started on Transformers Animated,if you can explain what happened that would be awesome =].Well in this video shows that a shot from one of the bots was about to hit Sari and Bumblebee jumped in and took it I was wondering was he okay after that??

Yeah, Bumblebee's fine. Animated has aired up to the end of series 2 and Bumblebee is still alive and kicking at the end of that series. The only possible thing of note is that Hasbro is releasing a figure called Elite Guard Bumblebee which is the standard Bumblebee figure with a slighty different paint job. Whether this means he joins the Elite Guard later in the show or is just a random repaint is unknown.

Well that's okay I guess. That's funny - I must have missed that topic. Maybe I should go and revive it... just joking. Animated BB is okay - quite obnoxious but sometimes funny. I hope he gets the EG repaint. That looks wicked cool. He's one of the best Bumblebees. Right after G1 that is and he only appeared in G1, G2, Takara collection (only a part of it) and the LAM #1. Oh well.

They'll take anybody in, afterall they had Sentinel!
Hookay, I'll accept that you've never seen G1 before, so I'll explain what happened in the animated Movie:
In the first 10 mins of the movie, many of the original cast (Prowl, Brawn, Ratchet, Ironhide, Smockscreen, Wheeljack) get wiped out by the Decepticons. Prime is mortally wounded by Megtron whilst he was distracted by Hot Rod trying to help. He dies in the Autobots sickbay, turning grey and black, the lights going out in his eyes. Now the problem here was kids absolutely idolised Prime, so seeing him get killed so suddenly enforced a mass hysteria that caused many kids to run out crying from the theaters and parents to complain to the box offices for scarring their children for life. It never really healed untill the end of Season Three when the writers were forced to bring him back to life. This hysteria even forced Sunbow / Marvel to re-think their intended killing of Duke in the G.I. Joe movie, dubbing in the fact he had merely "slipped into a coma".
So now you know.
(I highly recommend watching some of those golden oldies. It might help you understand some of those Easter Eggs that are scattered across numerous Animated episodes)

I was just wondering if any of you thought he was going to join the
Elite Guard,seeing as how he's getting the EG paint done soon.Unless
its just a random new paint and he'll still stay with the autobots and
Sari?

I figure since in "autoboot camp" we learned * bumbles was an elite guard wash out like the others *, that after the events of "a bridge to close" bumbles may be deserving a promotion, though he didn't really do much in those episodes that would warrant such promotion.
now this is just a theory but
I imagine magnus offering all of them promotions seeing as how they "got rid of megs" and bumbles being arrogant and taking it, just to feel bad and rejoin the group later
