What did you guys think? I thought it was a pretty good accompaniment to the pilot episode, but kind of required the reader to be up to speed with the series before reading. I think they managed to just about get away with showing a bit of Blurr, without spoiling any twists, and plotholes about the crashed Nemesis on the moon and such are nicely explained. Without the tv show to support it though, the story appears patchy, without a decent pacing or much of an explanation of what is happening. The artwork is consistent with the tv show, and all the non-earth stuff is great, although it does seem to go a bit downhill once Optimus' team start doing their thang on earth.
What did u guys reckon?

I quite liked it, but agree it does rely on seeing the show. If it goes on like this, it could be good to have parallel storylines to the show.

The beginning of it (most notably Sentinel Prime) was good, but then it took a slight nosedive when it revisited the events of Transform and Roll Out.

It would have been nice to see some more stuff happening pre-series, perhaps a bit of crazy shooting in the fifty years Prime n Co spend in stasis. But then again, i suppose the kids wanna see their favourite characters from the get-go...

I was hoping for something seperate to the tv series. Just like the marvel series and the 80s cartoon were seperate from each other.
I know a lot of peolpe who havent seen the series yet and they will be totally lost.

I'll not bother with this one just yet then. Not seen animated as yet. DC did a similar thing with Batman Beyond when they spun a comic out of that - it referenced the cartoon so heavily I had to give up on it.

Picked it up as I was a bit bored yesterday on lunch. I'd agree with all of Fudge's comments. It doesn't add much to whats already been seen on TV, which is disappointing. It also seems to jump between key scenes very abruptly. A very jarring and unsatisfying read.
