Hi folks! I've dropped a few posts already, but thought it'd be good to properly introduce myself!
I've been into TFs since I was young, and was around for the 'Arrival from Cybertron' in '84. I've stayed with the TFs ever since, with varying degrees of enthusiasm.
I'm a big fan of the G2 Marvel comic (not so much the toys - they all look like an explosion in a smarties factory once you stand them together). I'm really into the oddball Euro figures from the early 1990s and put together the entire '92/'93 line. My fave out of these is Clench, who's just badass!
Other than that, Beast Wars I adore. Beast Machines left me a little cold. And most of the Unicron Trilogy didn't do it for me at all. The toys seemed a step back in engineering terms from where the line had got to with BW/BM/RiD. Having said that, they were probably a little easier for kids to play with.
I tend to kind of dip my toes in all the various incarnations and usually find something to enjoy and am looking forward to seeing Animated at some point.
Phew! What else? Outside the wacky worlld of TFs, I'm well into New Doctor Who and have a bunch of Character's superb figures - although the sculpting hasn't been so great on recent figures. Well into music too, and count Art Brut, The Ting Tings, Ladytron and Nighwish amongst my fave modern bands.Although I always keep the fires burning for Adam & The Ants and the mighty Pop Will Eat Itself.
And that's me!
