After coming back from AA08, it occured to me how most liked the new movie, but preferred other generations of tf's. So why i know there will probably be a revenge of the fallen game, How come we still have not got a good gen1 game?
I know the tf movie game wasn't fantastic, but it did have good points, and i thought they nailed control of the characters from robot to vehicle. especially starscream and blackout, after playing many an online wargames playing fliying vehicles never seems to have decent control. but they nailed it.
thats it ...........im starting a patition, sign here if you want to see a gen1 game, plus any comments ideas about said content, such as chars e.t.c.........who's with me?

the gameplay of the movie game was very good, infact the game in general was good, plus there was a Gen1 game made that came out in japan for the PS2 i beleave and it was absolutly awfull accourding to websites, but i do agree a G1 game would be a nice idea, but i doubt they will make one.

Are you for real?? The gameplay of the Movie TF Game is very lame! Just push attack loads of times and everything will be ok. If you're driving, you have like no grip on the road at all. Last, but not least: The game content is not challenging at all. Someone can finish the game in a couple of hours (if someone didn't get so bored, and turned it off).
As for the PS2 G1 game. From what I heard, the gameplay is even more louzy than the gameplay in the Movie TF game.
Up until now only the TF Armada game (PS2) is the best TF game I've ever seen.

I really loved the Armada game. Now do that...with the G1 characters
Simple really.
2 sides. Cons on earth against Autobots/humans Autobots on Cybertron against Shockwaves minions and the other Cons.
If it's a good enough game it'll sell well because it's got the most well known versions of the characters.
Would make lotsa money so gawd knows why they haven't.

It probably would make a fortune in sales, were it to be released - but I'm not convinced that anyone is going to make such a game.
Ideally, it should be developed for the PS3 and 360, and feature downloadable content, such as additional characters, maps, and so on. Each side should include both land-based and airborne 'bots (maybe even some naval characters? Seacons!). The Armada game suffered in that it had only 3 playable 'bots, all of whom were confined to the ground, unless of course you used the Slipstream Mini-Con - it would have been better if perhaps Jetfire had been added to the roster, to provide some variety in gameplay. I'd like to see gestalt-size characters appear as bosses or something - imagine being able to fight against Devastator or, say, Omega Supreme!
Another point that I think would help the game immensely is if the developer factors in co-operative teamwork, such as that seen in the Conflict games - where you take control of a small squad of 4 or 5 robots and have to keep them ALL alive, switching back and forth between each one, issuing command-based orders to certain ones, and so on. For instance, as in the Conflict series, you could order 2 characters to attack an enemy bunker from one side while your other 2 can attack it from another side, thus creating a pincer attack. Such an inclusion could help the game's sales incredibly, and enhance the player's feeling that they're actually fighting a war.
... Anyway, that's my thoughts. Again, I doubt it'll ever happen, as no doubt we'll have to settle for a game based upon the new movie. But I'd love a game as described above, based upon G1 or perhaps even War Within, as that would be set entirely on Cybertron. Your thoughts?

Multiplayer could be awesome, particularly if it was done on large maps ala battlefield. Imagine, the game assigns you a character at random (or assigns a choice of characters at random) - so as not to have more than one of the same TF in the game, say, 12 cons 12 bots fighting in teams over various objectives. Using your bot and alt modes tactically.

Multiplayer and online play... WII!!! I do love my Nintendo Wii though. Anyhow, I want G1 game but I know it won't happen. I really liked the movie game and I agree on the flying. It was EXCELLENT! I just hated how you had to find Energon cubes. They got hard to find and even when there was 1 left, it was really hard with the Autobots as you can't scout over the top since they can't fly. Not to mention, in one level you may use several characters but after coming back once completed, you could only use the first e.g. Bumblebee.
The Movie game offer a lot of nice unlockables and the Decepticons were shaped very well in that game with nice personalities compared to in the movie although the Autobots were shaped a bit less so it was kind of vice versa of the movie.
The Armada game was really good but I was annoyed with the minicons. Only 3 robots and the minicons were all just made up and didn't really do much good, plus the actual Autobot/Minicon powerlinx teams were stupid. You powerlinx and what? Slow-mo to kick Decepticon ass? We need better than that. And playable Decepticons too.
By the way, maybe someone knows but in the Armada or Energon (I think it was Armada) product catalogue/comic books released with the toys, one advertised the original Armada game for PS2 (which when released was just called "Transformers") and then in a later catalogue, there was a picture of a new one that was meant to come out later that year ("Transformers Armada: The Battle for Energon" on PS2). I know that was the name of a board game thing but this was a PS2 game picture with that name. Really weird but I thought it sounded cool so I waited ages and... nothing. Never seen anything or heard anything more of it. I am wondering if it was an American exclusive or something.

There was a G1 mod for Quake 2 LOL And it had some fun to it, but alas, it gets very boring at the best of times. As I do agree with most, Having a G1 game would be VERY awesome indeed, but I cant see it happening. But if we were to do a petition. 1 Would hastak take any notes of it and if so, would they take ideas from fans. 2 some of the G1 voices are dead or retired, and all in all, the voices of the charactors are what make G1, well, G1. And you can't replace that. Take Chris Latta for example, No one, anywhere, can do a beter Starscream, although the guy who does screamer on Anemated, does a frigin good job at it.
