The Wiki's going to be moving soon, FYI - Wikia are a pack of hooers with their adverts in the article body and their repeated lying about changes, so it's upping sticks to a new server sometime in the near future. Be Ye Aware!

Yeah, this was mentoned in a Guardian article. Wikia has recently changed the advertising system so the adverts are within the aticle rate than at the end and obviously the creators of these Wikis aren't too happy about it. The article article actually highlighted the Transformers wiki as the people who were most annoyed about it and most seeking to move elsewhere.

Read the Pat Lee stuff. I'm kind of relieved to find out that I'm not alone in thinking his work was awful. Never understood why people found it so amazing. And its lumbered us with every artist to touch TFs since doing Prime with sticking out windows! Gaah!

Everyone thought it was amazing at the time. It was only after IDW took over everyone started hating DW.

I dunno about that. I found the last issue of the second G1 mini-series (war and peace) a mess, visually. I could not tell what was going on at the smelting pools at all. The 'balloon' style just didn't work for me. I do prefer IDWs stuff, its just clearer, less fussy and more dynamic. They seem happier to let artists draw TFs as they see fit.
I still have reservations about Alex Milne's stuff - he's another artist who favours big, balloony transformers. Megatron: Origin is a bit murky in places and some the action sequences are difficult to define as these hulking bodies struggle to clearly show whats going on.

Sorry, slight mistake. It's actually a Guardian article. (Get so used to reading the BBC site I assume everything's from there) Anyway, the article is here.

Optimus Prime is the heroic leader of the Autobots. He is the personification of courage, strength, and integrity. His personal motto is that “Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.”
Like Optimus Prime, you are compassionate and your heart is pure. You are inspiring, confident, and a natural leader. The Autobots have chosen well. In addition, you use technology when you need to, but you do not embrace the latest trends.

Well, that's the first time I've seen a Transformers personality test result used for link pimpage. Amazing, huh?

Finally, those ads were getting really annoying. Who bets that some idiot will take up running of the old wiki?
