Vancouver's about a hour's drive from where I live.  The Olympics coming here was a good reason reason for the Provincial Government to improve the roads.  Especially the 'Sea to Sky' highway.  Which, as you can imagine, takes you from the Pacific Coast up to Whistler/Blackcomb mountains, where the skiing events will take place.

Normally, that's a treacherous drive.  They've widened it considerably.  Vancouver itself, during rush hour, is a tough slog.  Now imagine, many tourists and athletes and their coaching entourages in the city and it's 4 boroughs.  Ha ha.  I'm staying away.  I won't be able to afford to go to any events anyway.

Righto!

In '88, Calgary did the Winter Olympics thing.  They still have many of the tracks and stuff still running.  Like the bobsled track.  I can't wait for bobsleddin'!
