WHAT A F'N SHOW

WOW, some of the stuff said will be border line, i won't spoil it but it was good it lived up to the hype and if you haven't seen WHY NOT???????

as for taz on SD that was great it was built up well and was just brilliant seeing him again

ECW,

ECW,

ECW,

also whats this about it being the last time ever that ECW will be around, if the McMahon's were watching this, they have to, nai, they will bring ECW back they are mad not to, it isn't a dead horse, and as long as the fan and wrestlers want it, ECW will be around for a long long time.

oh yeah, BEST ENTERANCE EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR has to go to Sandman.........................................

i read the write up on wwe.com have to say respect to paul E, having a go at edge.  This might actually bring back Matt Hardy.

damn i must be hi lol i just sent this to 1wrestling.

hello,
i have read the comments that are on your site, and everyone has said the same things, being from england i was never really able to watch ECW, it was always WWF and WCW, i have always hated WCW, the style was 80's even when it died in 2000, but i am not taking anything away from the guys that wrestled there, it was just bad managment.
WWE for me has lost something it started when ECW and WCW was bought by vince, and at the end of the invasion angle it wasn't the same when teh brands spilt it was jsut so we would be able to see HHH as champ for 4 fu*king years.

last night, i watched my first live ECW PPV and i have to say it was better then WM21, its just a same Taz and RVD could not wrestle i would have loved to see angle and Taz in an ECW ring, ECW RULEZ.

seeing these guys bust their ass for what could be the last ever time was great i just hope that the McMahon's while watching this say to them self, "Sh!t a PPV that wasn't main evented by HHH was a success"

wrestling fans need an option, this is what WE as fan need, not TNA becuase to me its just an old WCW clone that will end up the same way.

to anyone that said that ECW is dead then watching the PPV last night, ECW will never DIE, as long as the fans and the stars still believe..........

thank you

ECW ONE NIGHT STAND

MY REVIEW

ECW came back last night with a bang. I always hoped that it would turn out to be the big bad PPV it was meant to be and I am happy to say it was. WWE or should I say  ECW put on so far the best PPV of the year it featured the styles and the in ring ability's that I was hoping for  from the superstars. When it came to the WWE superstars preforming I was expecting them to be less than ECW style but no they put a little extra into there performance and really blew the roof of the house.

My main concern was how the WWE superstars would interact but as you saw they really did not have much involvement until the end which was a good thing. My main feeling of watching one night stand are simply good feeling of times gone by when I used to watch ECW on Bravo every Friday night. It was old school ECW and it came back and showed WWE what there missing.

Every Star at one night stand was a welcome face and I was happy to see them all even the ones that only appeared on screen for a few minutes it was just another interesting and special part of the show.

Paul Heyman speech was fantastic and really hit at a few spots mainly edge but thats what was great about it. Even though that segment was very open I still think it would have been a staged thing since the looks on the WWE superstars faces were not the believable.

in all ECW ONE NIGHT STAND will not be forgotten in a hurry it lived up to the hype and showcased the stars at there best and has only made ECW legacy larger and will cement ECW name even further in the history book as being one of the most Extreme one of the most best love promotion of all time. Why for the simple reason ECW has balls brains and the most loyal fans on the planet thats why its called EC f'n W.

I think if ECW returns to TV and I think with the huge success of ONE NIGHT STAND  it might do now.

That I think Joey Styles & Joel Gertner would be a great team doing the commentary. Joey as the Face commentator and Joel as the Heel commutator. If not Joel then they could rehire Cyrus to be his partner.

I think for ECW to come back they will have to do it properly and plan it for an entire year. Also if WWE don,t bring ECW back to TV why not do a ECW Tour. visits City's where they used too and try and give ECW more publicity

One night Stand was by FAR! the best PPV so far this year. it was full of nostalgia and it was the best tribute they could have had to ECW. RVD gave a good Shoot Promo about himself (Well who else wold expect?) and his involvement in ECW and Of course Paul Heyman did the same. But who here was smiling when the fans got to Paul E? it was a touching moment wasn't it?

Anyway, the matches were all very good my only niggle was that they weren't longer. The standard ECW match time is 20 minutes, most of these, including the 3 way dance were about 10 -15 max...it's only a minor niggle but a niggle all the same.
another poignant moment was when ECW showed respect for all the stars that they have lost, with Chris Candido being the latest one to leave and you could even hear CC chants from the fans during a few matches...very nice.

I think it was a very well staged and successful event, unlike Hardcore Homecoming. I certainly Dug it and why? because I'm ECW to the bone baby! - Now the next stage is up to Vince. what will he do?

The Blue Meanie posted the following on his blog:

What turned out to be a beautiful weekend came to end on a sour note. I guess by now you all know what happened last night between Bradshaw and myself. It’s no secret that Bradshaw never liked me from my first day in the WWE to my last. What I did to the guy to piss him off I don’t know but then maybe I never needed to know. Bradshaw has always had the rep of being a bully and a liberty taker in the ring and he also has a rep of getting away with it.

Once the ECW/WWE brawl started I paired of with Coach and I felt a punch come from out of nowhere. My first instinct was to hit back BUT I also had the issue of trying to protect the 14 staples I have in my head. I got some rib shots in the best I could but he got the upper hand with going to my face, opening a fresh wound on my forehead and swelling my eye.

All I saw was red as the blood fill me eyes and I believe it was Maven I pulled on top of me to get him to “choke” me. After he got cleared out guys came up to check on me and we went on the other deal with Austin and Bischoff and the big post brawl party in the ring. As F***ed up as what Bradshaw did, the crowd reaction had me so buzzed that I didn’t feel anything.

I got to the back and Bradshaw was in a part of the gorilla position. He came over like he was going to do something else but people got in between. He was yelling about me talking about him on the Internet. The rest of what he said I didn’t hear cause I was too busy saying, “Yo, it’s a work!” and “Dude, the business is a F***in work!!” So I did the best thing anyone could ever do in the situation and just walked away.

I got stitched up and said my good byes. A lot of the guys were pissed and asked what happened. When I told them they were pissed even more. We got home and all I have been doing is popping Aleve and icing my face and reflecting. All this happened over was me calling him a bully. Well John……… you just proved me right.

In closing I want to say thank you to everyone who ran Hardcore Homecoming Friday night. I wanna say thank you to the WWE for giving EC Dub an opportunity to shine last night. I wanna say to the rest of the WWE workers and staff a big thank you for the hospitality. It was great catching up with all of you. To my EC Dub brothers and sisters I wanna say I love you. I was in heaven seeing all of you this weekend and doing it one more time. To the fans I wanna say I love you because with out the fans we wouldn’t have been anywhere without you this past weekend. I will be going back to icing my face and ponder if I will be wrestling on this weekends 3PW show. I will probably pull off of it so I can properly heal these stitches and staples. Plus we all know chicks dig scars.

ok i was talking to AC a bit earlier about ECW only being on sd this week not raw,

now ONS was a big event it downed the WWE.COM webcast, but what if and its a big IF here that they(meaning Vince) already had the plans to resurrect ECW,

why am i thinking this, because, why would you trade the champion of SD to raw for no reason during the biggest push of his life, not only that this leaves SD with no champ, now what happens if ECW take over with their champ on SD until the end of the draft, thats why there has been no desion on the WWE title, and why benoit is there, and thats why SCSA is on the summer bash tour he will be fired by eric and long will hire him.......................

this would then make the WWE take back there show and give them an ECW show.

As awesome as ONS was - you just wouldn't be able to do that every week. It was so awesome because we havent seen this stuff for five years, and the emotions ran high because of it.

A small part of me has always wanted ECW back but a bigger part thinks to keep it special, i dont want it in my face every week.

Its the same feeling i have about the ppvs. when there was four or five a year each event was special, now they are every three weeks or so, they dont feel as special.

Just because John Cena moved to RAW dose not mean Smackdowns dead. WWE will not bring ECW back with in a few weeks thats just silly it needs to be planned and brought back as a single show with no connection with WWE.

Smackdown will continue why because WWE spent two years establishing the brands so to throw it all away would be a waste and the WWE have far too many superstars to put on one show so ECW could not become smackdown.

SCST yes is on the Summer bash tour but only as an attraction and a special Ref thats no indication he going to switch shows. Akebono is doing the Japanses shows in Japan with WWE soon dose that mean he going to Smackdown and the Smackdown turning into New Japan Wrestling 2 no it just means he an attraction to get fans to go.

I think ECW ONS could become a yearly special event where it is brought back one a year to show case ECW talent. I think ECW would also be great doing a tour around the country. I think ECW if it gets its own Brand will need to be planned properly and not brought back straight away it will take time so it works straight away.

Yes it was a good suggestion and I don,t mean  to seem mean but I just think none of that stuff will happen. ECW I think is finished for now the PPV is over and there was no mention of it on RAW last night so WWE must want it now finished with.

Smackdown I think could have some sort of ECW theme this week since The Dudley Boyz are apart of that brand after all.
