I've got a few problems with ol' blitzy, his plane alt mode doesn't really match the tv show, and the small wings on his back are prone to popping off. That, and the piss-poor instructions that come with him are bloody useless.
Apart from that, he's solid, the three-face gimmick works well, if i little stiff, he's a decent size (i think to scale with starscream) and he has a great robot mode.

The wings look like they hamper poseabity in robot mode.  Isn't there any way to rectify that?

They don't hamper the poseability, but they do make some poses look a tad weird
