Unicron is big. Huge. Planet-size, in fact. It therefore stands to reason that his gravitational pull is the same as an equivalent size planet. Would this not hinder him in some ways? Travelling across the galaxy, wouldn't he be in danger of being drawn into a collision course with nearby planets he was passing? And wouldn't it hinder his ability to transform somewhat?  Just a thought I had today while bored at work...

he'd just eat anything that got in his way! perhaps it does hinder his ability to transform - it must take a tremendous amount of energy to do which is perhaps why, like galactus, his hunger can never be sated.

Sadly, you wont get any clever science stuff out of me on planets' gravataional pulls and all that.

The very fact that he can stand in robot mode implies he's using enormous amounts of energy to merely stop himself from collapsing in on himself and forming a metallic sphere.

It is a cartoon, though. Let's let it slip. :P

That actually makes sense and gives a reason for his desire to bring about absolute destruction. And I'm not having the "it's only a cartoon" argument brought up, these things matter!

i think you have the right idea.  looking at it from a biological standpoint ( i know he's not organic but he is A.I.) he could have developed this ability for survival. it's easier to eat other planets if they gravitate towards each other!

newton formulated the law in which it stated that evryone in the universe exerts gravity on other bodies in which evry thing has a slight gravitational output and so unicron would have a gravitational pull!

hoope that clears that!!

depending on the TF Universe they biological, but just have metal skin, it would make sense seeing as in Engeron/Super Link they use Engeron to heal wounds.

i say he has a warp bubble around him!

That wasn't the issue. The issue was why does is his pull apparently not so great that it doens't hinder him.

Well, even in fiction, some things have to make sense! Kind of fits in with Unicron's desire to end the spread of the lifestain, or whatever, by eating it all! Mmm tasty Mars planets...

Quite what Unicron will do when it finished destroying reality is beyond me. Would the Dark Gods return him to the Void?

Quite clever to my mind, that in order to complete his mission and survive to do this, he has to sustain himslef on the life energies of others. That would etheir be very pleasing or deeply  irritating that you have to eat 'disgusting puddles of life' to go about your business

what's the gravitational pull of a star compared to him?

Surely it's much more other wise the planets would revolve around each other rather than suns. Using non educated logic here..can you tell? :p

So assuming that stars have a much much much higher gravitational force, him like any other big body of "normal" matter wouldn't have a major effect comparatively.

Would if he got close enough. Which he does, seeing as how he's eating 'em....
