for those of us of a certain age, (nearly old enough to know better), they've released amazing spiderman and his friends on dvd:
http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/5984395/Spider-Man-And-His-Am azing-Friends-Complete-Box-Set/Product.html
and not only is this worth mentioning on it's own, but for those of us who attended aa2008 and met peter parker aka bumblebee aka big danny g, it will do no harm to shamelessly promote this for him 'cos he was a jolly nice guy.
the point is, buy this product

My daughter loves this program for some unfathomable reason, and i'll no doubt have to buy it for her for her birthday or xmas, if only so i can delete the episodes off the playstation.

Hey I remember this. It was well cheesy, they all lived together in a house that had a rotating wall with some ridiculous wall sized computer on. Magic.

They're releasing everything. X-men, spiderman, hulk and fantastic 4 are all out this month. It's going to cost me a fortune.

You would never have seen The Amazing Spider-man and friends on Diggit or Citv. Fact.
In fact, you'd only have seen it AT ALL if you were around circa 1983.

and it was on BBC1 too, as part of whatever Saturday morning jamboree was on that the time.
The stuff on Diggit/CiTV was the mid '90s buffed up Spiderman cartoon with that horrid jagged logo which didn't suit the character. As I recall, a lot of the episodes seem to revolve around some lunatic etheir developing or having something stolen from a lab that would have disasterous consequences. The X-Men cartoon that debuted two years earlier was way better.

It originally aired in the US in 1981, and as with all things we got it sometime later (1983).

No, they've released the first thirteen episodes AND the complete series box. Which is confusing and daft. The complete series box is £20 at hmv, might be going on jess' xmas list.
