Great idea, Heather. 
I'd say add a healthy radioactive glow to them in photoshop (if ya have it)...or not. Hmm...Im sure if you just add regular highlights/shadows they'll still look quite different from Nick's since the drawing style is different.

yeah I know you like prime... but soundwave's sprite look good not bad nice  does work with others cassettes?  cool see forward your more drawing sprite like sunstorm etc my favorite too thanks.

Well, I'm now up to 10 characters on each team, and I've just now begun work on a new character - one that is probably going to take me a good 3-4 weeks to finish!
The ones I've done so far have averaged from 2 to 2 1/2 hours each, but this new one is over 3 times the size of them, so you can probably imagine how much time will be spent pixelling in all the little details! So I probably won't be posting anything new in this topic for the time being - but needless to say, when this guy is done, I'll post him up to see what you all think, and see if I should carry on doing more and more of them!
P.S, I'm not giving away his name yet (gonna keep y'all in suspense!) , but I'll tell you who it is a few days before I finish it!

Hmm, this project is taking a lot LESS time than I initially anticipated...
It's almost done! Just have the head and the shoulder armaments to draw, and possibly his guns, then it needs coloured, and that'll be it! Should only take another coupla days...

Well, here he is, folks...my most detailed and challenging sprite to date. Feast your peepers on Metroplex himself!!!
Yup, he's all done. Like I said, it took a lot less time than I'd anticipated - I must have had too much free time on my hands...
Anyhoo, have a look at all the little details that I've tried to cram into him, then tell me what you think of the lighting/shading effects I've incorporated. Do they suit the pic, or do you reckon I should maybe try a simpler approach? It took me the better part of 6 hours to get this bad boy coloured, so I better get at least one positive response from you people! Or else my Stunticons and I are gonna come and pay you a visit...and it ain't gonna be for tea and crumpets...

Any other characters you guys would like to see after Brainstorm and Tracks are done? Or should I just continue drawing them at my own pace and post some up here every so often?
