Thanks guys for giving me this.  I appreciate it.

To me kitbashing and customizing  are an art form.  The TF community lost a great museum when TFmaster's Transtopia fell ( Hopefully a little of his work will find itself here).

Creating a robot from your mind is an amazing art.  I have made some and if i ever get them back from my ex-wife I will post them. It is showing others what we see in our head and allows us to really show our fandom appreciation.

At times we will see bots here that will floor us and make Hasbro and Takara look bad. Other times we will see the work of new artists.  Lets not stifle a young TF Leonardo  or Michelangelo.  Lets give and inch and see others shine.

Well 1st what is what? Try to decide what is what before you post.

Custom- (AKA Scratch built) Very few or no mold parts come from an existing TF figure. You can use outside the line or use your own material but it is mostly non tf material (using a head or Alternator hands on a toy but nothing else tf makes it a custom).

Kitbash-Lots of changes. It can be a new mold with dramatic changes to the mold.  You have to use existing tf parts but they do not have to be all from the same figure.

Retool- The figure has had some modification.  Not alot of change exists but there is a different head, hand or parts added or removed.

Repaint- The figure mold does not change but is instead a new colour. He can even be a new robot.

Digibashing- This is like repainting however it is done with a picture and computer.

Try to use the appropiate defination in your subject title to help people when viewing.  Take care.
