hmm

never been to anything like that , so i f i can get my car finished i may take a trip over as its only 30 mins away

Getting a train direct to Birmingham International Airport is the best bet. The NEC's just around the corner. I'm yet to work out exactly where, though....it's walking distance, f'sho. Apparently.
