Put me, the missus and the babby down as a provisional yes. Although i have yet to ask permission, seeing as shes still mad at me for the manky imax meet being longer than 20minutes. Will probably be driving down, and may have 1 free space in the fudgemobile, but again that depends on if the missus allows it. Damn you giant thumb, crushing me from above.

Just had a quick thought re location - the Memo's at the NEC, and the nearest train station (by a good 10 miles) is actually Birmingham International. Are people wanting to meet at New St and get the train to International from there, or do we all want to meet at International? What about those luckless sods who are driving down, I assume they'll head straight for the NEC?

Subject to the where, what about the when? Do i go for the cheaper or more expensive (earlier entry) tickets? Chances are i'll come up on the friday and stay friday and saturday nights somewhere. Beats the hell that the drive home was after AA last year.

well as you already know fella the meet is the 24th of november. as for the time best bet is we meet for about 11/12ish that way it gives everybody time to get there.
War, with regards us meeting at birmingham international, that would only make sense if they were quite a few people driving up. to my knowledge the only person who is, is matrix/random. so i'm still saying new street. However if there are few more driving up then what i would suggest is, if you want to go the birmingham international and meet those who are going straight there then i bring the rest across when they turn up.
Blaster, if you cared to read thread you would know when and weither there was a airport near by etc. So my advice to you is don't ask stupid questions and pay attention in future, ok?

Birmingham Int. is on the London line isn't it? So New Street would make more sense for people that have to change trains there anyway.
And I don't know if I'm coming or not.

Blaster, (if all works out) Hoping to see you there, pal. If you cared to ask why the question was so quickly inserted, you would have been told, that I was in a rush on my way to work. As i do not know England's great Airport system off hand, I thought ask quick read later. Then once I know where I could check here, for the price and times. General show of interest. But as for your 'bon' reply, I can see, there will be lots to do if I come!! Stupid or not, there is no need for a childish reply towards members of this forum, no matter where they are from, or how little their postage is in the forum or if they are newbies, it is not your place, to write out of your skin. As it is commonly know there are only stupid answer, and not stupid questions.
By the way Thanks Speciman-17 Checking the flights, and work roster...tons on their hols at the time

Maybe without the stupid bit in there it might have been "my bad" from my side. Some words are like boomerangs they comeback on ya,and then make you think twice as quick before verbally throwing them so quick again, for most. Overreaction much, Master Yoda. ill mannered words, I think not Apology excepted, hope to meet you there if work allows it.

Ho ho ho. You can hardly criticize others for overreacting. Besides, how's he to know "Birmingham International" meant an airport? Fair play if he was British but I doubt you could go listing off the airports of Germany.

flights to Birmingham are crap on the day. I have to work Sunday lunch,
so if I can not wing it, looks like no kraut at the convention. Friday
could work, but a day on my own and then not knowing where and what, is
a little weird, to say the least. If somebody changes the Sunday, with
me which nobody will, then I could just go Fing mad. Shame I did not know you guys earlier, and better and then, Take more notice of such things earlier, guess stupid me

International is the stop before New St coming from Euston. So if any southern sorts do fancy it, no need to head as far as New St.
Nightwing - sounds like a plan. It's just a case of getting all the lads coming from the North together at New St and onto a train to International. Makes sense if I head straight to International, although I'll have to pop through New St anyway so it's no big deal if there's a change of plan.
