I was taking a casual look through the official boards and was glad to see that Crimson Dynamo has finished his soundwave design.

I like that a lot. Obviously it'd have to be moviefied a tad, making him more spiky no doubt, but in general, thats an ace design.

Opinions?

Regardless of how good it looks, you know someone somewhere would still complain that Soundwave needs to be a mass shifting walkman-esque thingy in the movies...

I can accept a soundwave with a good alt mode, minions, face plate, synth voice and colour scheme!

Trouble is, if they DID use that alt-mode for soundwave, he'd end up just being a Ratchet repaint.

I think Dynamo intends the satelite dish to transform into Lazerbeak, and the spare tyre into Ravage.

I don't think it would be a ratchet repaint, the alt mode would be better and would have funky accessories!

Yeah but i think this is the completed one, as its a recent post on the movie forum. I think this is the head design and body design he settled on.

It's certainly very very nice. And the idea of Soundwave becoming a spy van is my faveourite one yet for him.

As has been said, it still needs Baying up some more, but overall that looks cool. Plus it has a different look to Ratchet totally so they would have to use a different mold.

But I can so imagine a Voyager class Movie Soundwave. Even the name gets me excited.

I agree would be nice toy of Voyager Class same as Ironhide, Blackout, Ratchet like that.. would be nice.. and on radio satellie would be laserbeak as well.. I hope so for movie. Soundwave my favorite at all.. I like vehicle.

It's not a very exciting vehicle mode. But it's a very unassuming one; A vehicle you might not bother giving a second glance. Which plays well to Soundwaves style.

Exactly. I can really imagine it parked behind some bushes in a neighbourhood being all suspicious. A boring looking vehicle that acts suspiciously. Cool.
