How big are they supposed to be in general tf continuity? Human sized in robot form? Or are they a case of small toy - same size as regular tfs in the stories?

The old Marvel comisc showed them as about 2 - 2.5 meters tall (basically basketball player size ), weighing around a ton (Roadhandler) and indeed mass shifting to regular sized vehicles.

Edit: I just checked US#55, and Roadhandler's just taller than a pro wrestler (so the 2m would be about right) and weighs "only .893 of a ton".

its what ive always thought as well basically the size of the G1 minibots then? Cos bumblee was about 7 feet tal wasnt he?

So, just to clarify... Erector would be about 6-7ft tall as a robot but about 10ft wide and about 30-40ft long. That's a lotta mass shifting.
