Ok so who is the greatest leader of the decepticons and why? For me has to be shockwave, after all it is the most logical choice.

just so you know i did include megs but he's disapeared

• Galvatron: the cartoon version was insane plus yelled to much and never got anywhere. The comic version was better, but this nearly invincible thing in the UK comic annoyed me. The US version is my favourite Galvatron, with all that scheming. And that gets him level with Starscream at best.


• Bludgeon: a warrior at heart, but led his troops to an assault on a weak little planet simply because he planted his sword there. There he got his ass kicked by Prime, only to have his head ripped off and then blown up by Megatron.


• Thunderwing: a cool cruel leader until he got possessed by the Matrix and lost site of everything except the spark of Primus. He wasn't even strong enough to remain in charge.


• Scorponok: again, a ruthless leader. And then he gave up his head and had some puny fleshling control him. The only reason he got Prime to surrender to him was Unicron, and then when the big badass himself showed up he chickened out before being melted.


• Ratbat: only interested in saving fuel. Quite boring.


• Soundwave: he only got to be leader because all others were wiped out.


• Megatron: there are two versions to note here. G1 Megatron was a whimp, losing to Ratchet and being beaten by Shockwave on multiple occasions. Then he lost his marbles and blew himself up with the spacebridge. After returning from the dead he didn't do much better, first getting Starscream (who you know is going to betray you) to join him again and then being beaten by Ratchet - again.
  Then there is G2 Megatron. Also so invincible it got annoying, and again he didn't do anything except kill Bludgeon. He even let Starscream steal the Matrix and take over his ship. Way to go!


• Shockwave: ah, cruel but logic, he kicked everyones ass, especially Megatron's. Only really lost twice, but then survived reentering Earth's orbit while totally ablaze. And Death's Head suckerpunched him.

Shockwave but even he was crap, Death Head killed him, and Scorp kicked his ass too.

Galvatron was never really leader was he? He never led the troops in the comic at least.

As iceman said Megatron was a bit crap in the G1 comic, though Iceman didnt Jahxus (how do you spell it) nearly kill the G2 one. He was good in the cartoon though.

I did like Thunderwing though

I vote for Soundwave for first because he never had leader before...before Shockwave were but I not sure if Shockwave would leader if Galvatron die.. lol
