FROM VIRTUAL TOYCHEST.COM

These toys were made by Revell in 1984. A comic book of the same name was released by DC Comics.

I hope they didn't get the name from that. Ugh, that's just too weird.

Wow, how original. The top one looks just like He-Man, and those names, come on. Everybody can see the names come from Saviour and Evil.

Those things look horrendous!  I read Savor as savour.  As in 'savoury chicken marianted in Teryaki sauce.'

"Half-tank, Half-He-man rip-off, all badly thought out toy!"

Yes. I don't believe they're too popular anymore.

There is something oddly phallic about EVOL!

I doubt it requires the people who came up with the storylines, names, characters, weapons, etc. for beast wars a whole lot of thinking power to make the uninspired and apt name 'beast machines' without having to steal it from someone else :P

They look like they are called Power Lords, anyway

Anyone else find it amusing they hype them up to be badass, half-beast half-tank demigods and state "can anything stop them?" (to which I reply: a very steep hill :/ they seem quite top-heavy), and then say "safety-tipped missiles" - kinda kills the suspension of disbelief there I'd say :P The top guys shield looks very inadequate, too, compared to the meat grinders the guy below him has coming out of his pelvis.

Those toys look very obscure, too :x One can't help but wish to see them fight, I imagine it would be slightly hypnotising.

As a side note, everyone's post count scares me
