Who remembers this interesting twist in the 'Beast Wars' toyline? A robot inflicted with a computer virus (or something like that) that changed it into a Transformer that could only change from one animal form to another animal form.
I thought it was very clever, especially how there was a way to reveal a robot face on these figures. I have three of them (Razorclaw the wolverine/raptor, Poison Bite the scorpion/barracuda, and Soundwave the bat/alligator) and I would imagine that they started out as Fuzors. I would put them in mid-transformation, thinking that might of been what their Fuzor form was (Poison Bite's barracuda head with the scorpion body was my favorite).
Too bad they were never apart of the 'Beast Wars' cartoon.
What's your toughts on the 'Beast Wars: Mutants' toyline?

The BEASTWARS equivelent of PRETENDERS, a concept so lame the creator should have been shot!

I disagree with you. I thought it was clever to have a transformer that changes from one animal to another animal while having a way to expose the robot face. Granted, it made for a gloomy situation for the robots in the situation, but I liked the toyline.
However, seeing how there was only four of them ever made, I appear to be in the minority.

In Season two of Beast Machines, there was a transformer who could transform from beast to beast. His name was Noble and he was a wold in one form and a giant heli-monster (sp?).
Too bad he originated from Megatron's spark... and he died 7 episodes later. (and he was only in 5 of them)

Savage / Noble was a totally different kind of Transformer, as he was completely organic in both modes. It originated from Megatron's botched attempt of separating his techno and organic parts to be completely techno again.

Indeed, especially if those rumours about them being originally intended for that line are true.
