Hi, I heard from someone recently that the original rattrap mold was destroyed which explains the 10th anniversary transmetal rattrap. is any of this true?

I haven't heard of that one myself, but it wouldn't surprise me if HasTak ruined the mould beyond repair.

Couldn't they just go to one of the toy companies that make KO Rattraps and buy a mold? I've seen one at my local Big Lots store.

I think HasTak would rather cut their collective bollocks off with a rusty bread knife than hand money over to "thieves" who blatantly rip them off with their illegal reproductions.

The problem is, most of the KO companies are located in countries like China where copyright laws are quite different.

Don't you think that HasTak would already have sued them for all they were worth if they could?

the 10th anniversary rattrap was the transmetal for the reason that the original was a basic, and didn't fit in with the rest of the line (which were all deluxes) the transmetal filled that role, allowing them to release rattrap in the line.

 They do, but as he said there could be different copy right laws. I just thought they didn't sue because they were always small time companies that weren't worth the bother.
