He should be a big ass cannon personally. But I think making him into a flight capable alt mode helps him to fit in better with the other Decepticons.

It's just not an 'evil' enough alt-mode though. Without the effoff massive gun on the front it's just a crappy helicopter. Which is nowhere near as cool as a gun, cannon, tank, flying hand, two-headed dragon or pointy spaceship.

The figure is the best meg figure ever, also in robot mode he is so awesome, i admit in his helicopter gunship mode in the cartoon it does look a little dopey with the gun sticking out, but way better than his cybertronian mode also the movie as well that was yuk. Would have prefered them to make him an actual modern helicopter gunship eg, and apache that would have been cool. The toy looks like the best ever megs has been portrayed unless you like the original megs toy witha  trigger for a crotch

It wasnt JUST a flying hand. It was a hand of ultimate doom and 9 other forms including cars, boats, jets, and dragons.

His Animated forms are ok. His copter mode has a gigantic canon on it so that counts for something

new megatron looks cool in bot mode, i dont mind the alt helicopter, but the cannon looks a little front heavy. p.s Watch (mission accomplished) episode on youtube, fanoftransformers just put it up. Megatron vs starscream and megs vs starscream  lol poor poor starscream. But megs looks hard as nails.

I'm a bit behind on the Animated series, only watched Megatrons return the other day. I loved the episode and i think that his robot mode looks fantastic.

However i'm with you on this Fudgecrumpet, when he transformed i was sat there thinking, what the hell is that???

Megatron deserves better than a twin rotor helicopter, he goes from looking powerful and awesome to looking....not so much.
