Right, after numerous people asking how to get/play Galaxy Force. Here is a complete guide. Please read it through before starting to do it so you fully understand. Here goes:
Subtitled episodes of Galaxy Force can be downloaded from a fansub group called TV Nihon. Their website can be found by clicking here. The link to the most recent episode should be somewhere on the main page. If not, click the BitTorrent link at the top of the page to be taken to their BitTorrent page which lists all the files they have for download.
When you have found the link for the episode you want, click it. This will download a small file only a few kilobytes in size with the file extension ".torrent" to your computer. This is NOT the episode itself. This is a torrent file that will enable you to download the episode. To do this you will need to download the BitTorrent software from here.
One you have this, open the file you downloaded from TV Nihon. NOT the BitTorrent program. Opening the file from TV Nihon will open BitTorrent and set everything up. Then just wait for the episode to download. This will take a while as each about is about 230 megabytes in size. When it's done. You will have a Galaxy Force episode with the file extention ".avi". This IS a Galaxy Force episode. Then enjoy! If you've having trouble with playing the file, download VLC Media Player from here.

That's all you need to know. Now download folks!

Not at all. It's just that people keep asking how to do it and I think I've answered various parts of the question many times, so that should put everyone's mind at ease.

I just wanted to point out, that tv nihon also has Superlink (The Japanese Energon) to download in its entirety, plus quite a lot of the g1 japanese series.

To be honest, I have no idea. Probably. But I look at it this way - I think it's OK to download anything that cannot be purchased. Since there are no videos/DVDs of an English-subbed Galaxy Force I would say it's OK to download as it's the only way the material can be made accessable to us English-speaking folk. If someone releases a DVD with Galaxy Force subbed into English on it, I'll happily stop downloading from TV Nihon and buy the DVD. But until then, I'll be there every week. I know some TV stations tried taking some fan-subbers to court once. I can't remember what came of it, but I see this - they take the people to court because people download the subs rather than watching it on TV -> lower ratings -> less money. But we don't actually watch Japanese TV anyway as we don't live there, so by downloading the episodes we're not making any difference. Oh, except that we get Galaxy Force.

Anyone care to explain what the green bars indicate?

I managed to download ep 36, and figuire out how to play it with some luck.

Eps 1 to 26 almost done, taking a while though. Im just a tad slow on what all these different things mean!

With regards to the share ratio, is someone downloading from me?

The share ratio is how much of the file you've uploaded to others compared to the amount you've downloaded yourself. Ideally it should be at 1:1 before you close the torrent down. Say an episode is 230Mb in size, once you've finished downloading it, you should leave the torrent open until your uploaded amount hits 230Mb as well. You don't have to by any means, but it's just courteous to other users.
Unfortunately I can't help you with the green bars question as I use a Mac and BitTorrent on Mac OS X looks very different to it's Windows counterpart.

i don't use torrent to get the eps, i use the edonkey/mule network to get the files. it does take a few days but i don't have to worry about them just leave them going. i still haven't watched them all yet either, and if anyone wants them i have upto 35 on dvd.

Ohhhhh, Preview for Ep 40 looks fine! Megalo convoy looks way mahoosive!

Only grudge is the cons screen time, as Perceptor said.

I hope they get more involved next ep, especially Soundwave.

Sometimes TV Nihon's BT page will go down from time to time. This will just be them doing some work on it to improve it and it will reapppear soon. What's worth noting is that a torrent page like that is a little different to a normal web page in that it's a "tracker page". If this page is down, you will not be able to get any more torrents OR resume any paused downloads you have that are using torrents from that page. If you can't seem to download from TV Nihon for some reason, go to their homepage and click the BitTorrent button at the top. If the torrent list doesn't load, it means the tracker is down and you'll have to wait a bit.
One last thing, PLEASE don't e-mail TV Nihon asking when stuff's gonna be out. They get a lot of that and they're sick of it. Patience is needed folks.

Yup that is a big no no and bad etiquette towards fan subbers. After all you are getting the show for free!
