Hi all,

Is everyone out there able to get the animated toys they want or are certain characters a royal pain in the ass to get?

Also are there any of them particulary rare i.e 1 per case?

Happily theres a starscream round the corner from me with my name on :)

I think the days of having to 'hunt' for figures are gone. I do recall having a right time of it collecting Beast Wars Transmetal II figures, which came out just as the line was seemingly being pulled from retail. I remember Poundstretcher having a bunch of the Basic figures in their window display which I asked them for. And I couldn't find a TMII Black arachnia in the UK. I managed to pick one up whilst on holiday in France though.

Animated, despite its various UK distribution problems and lack of retail availability has lead to a lot of us sourcing online. I know I have. But I do prefer hunting in shops, its just a shame that Hasbro UK  have made this difficult for us by only dealing with preferred retailers.

I know. Are they aware of fandom in the UK? Do they realise that Transformers has the potential to be up there with their Action Man franchise (which itself is a bit morribund these days)? Bad enough we're lumbered with flash in the pan incarnations as well as the UK wing not giving much of a fig.
