... I get this alot, the urge to watch a film that I haven't seen for a long time at an innapropriate time, but there are several problems with this:
1) I'm stuck at work for another 3 hours 2) I don't own it on DVD 3) I don't have the money to buy the DVD this month 4) I'm not sure I want to buy the '1992 Directors Cut' that is rleased at the moment, as I would rather have the box set that is coming out later this year with the 'International Theatrical Cut', the '1992 Directors Cut' and the upcoming 'Final Cut'.
I'm rather looking forward to going to see the 'Final Cut' at the cinema later this year, but that just seems so far away. I never got to see it on it's original release (due to being only 2 years old). I'll be glad to add it to the list of other great films that I never saw at the cinema, due to either not being born or too young, that have had theatrical Special Editions in recent years
But now I'm rambling, so I'll finish by repeating...
Damnit I really want to watch Bladerunner!

I mainly know of Blade Runner as it heavily influenced Hideo Kojima's gaming classic known as Snatcher.

yes I'm ashamed to say I have yet to play Snatcher and have only know of it through articles\screenshots in magazines...
...oh and youtube is blocked at work so I can't even look at that nice little link you posted
...and I still REALLY want to watch Bladerunner...I may have to resort to buying the Directors Cut after all...I just need to find the cash...damn that's pathetic isn't it...the bloody DVD is less than £5 in most sales at the no, and I can't even spare the cash for that...I hate Tax and MOT time for the car

I guess I was lucky then when I managed to buy the Mega CD version of it from HMV in Croydon a few years ago for about £10.

That's a shame, as it was a link to a video of Snatcher's intro.

Yeah I'd say so! Unfortunately I've never owned Mega CD, pitty because it also has the best home conversion of Final Fight, and I REALLY want to play Another World 2

I'll look when I'm at home some time (although I haven't had chance to use the PC at home since just after Crimbo ). There was an interesting article on Metal gear related games in GamesTM magazine last month, that really sold Snatcher to me and I want to play it now (although I still want to watch Bladerunner more).
Do you still have Snatcher and your Mega CD? Interested in selling?

Final Fight CD was great, as was Earthworm Jim Special Edition, Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Dark Side and Sonic CD (Of which I never properly owned until the Sonic Gems Collection release on the Gamecube).

Sadly my Mega Drive/CD combo stopped working sometime ago and as for Snatcher even if I knew where it was right now (As I packed it up soon after the consoles 'died') I just haven't got the heart to sell it.

tell me about it....the tax and mot for my car is due every december just before new year, meaning my funds are like nill at best. i may resort to buying a full years worth of tax in the summer to remedy this though instead of 6 months as i normally do.

Bugger, oh well I haven't really got the money for it right now anyway, and Kreecha would be upset if I used the credit card anymore

Ours isn't so bad, due at the end of January, just means spending Jan making sure the car is upto the MOT.

I've been saying this for a few years now, but come summer tax time, never seem to have enough cash for the whole year.

Yes I have that problem, I haven't been to the cinema since X-Men 3 and I had to sneak out by myself on a quiet Sunday for that, and loads of films I want to see at the cinema this year too
Oh well that's the beauty of DVD...
I cracked and bought the BladeRunner Directors Cut yesterday (along with V for Vendetta and X-Men 3). I just didn't get chance to watch it. Damn I still REALLY want to watch the bloody film

...and the car failed the MOT, and has this month cost the best part of £300 to put right...and we've still got to pay the Tax...damn my Credit Card is taking a beating this month Would you believe that one of the straps holding the fuel tank on had snapped?

Fronting eh? You sir, are the bane of the insurers life!
Seriously though, you might want to think about taking it out in your own name, not only will you earn some No Claims Discount for yourself, but you might find problems if it comes to make a claim. The policy will be set up on the terms that your dad's the main user of the vehicle, they could repudiate on the basis of breach of contract.
(By the way, I just got offered the job of Motor Underwriter at my office, FAT pay rise cha-ching!)

Congratulations
I'll soon be applying for one of the two jobs that I'm currently doing in addition to my own job. I hope I get it, could do with the money.
