They do fold down and in to make the rear top plating of the jet mode, but according to the instructions, thats where they go in robot mode

The "standard" pose really shows off the odd proportions of the Animated characters but I love the posability. Would like to get it but I've suddenly gotta save for a couple of big things so not sure how much Animated I can buy now.
