Steve Bax here. Thanks to fudgecrumpet and all others who have ordered Spotlight Wheelie so far.

I can't wait to see if IDW can make this much maligned character cool, and its great that they are prepared to take a risk trying. Anyone who wants to preorder a copy in time for June (when its due to come out) can go here -

Does anyone remember those 'Big Looker' storybooks?

If IDW just copy that, he'll be cool. Basically, his (and his parents', apparently. They should leave that bit out) ship crashed on Quintessa. Wheelie was the sole survivor. He became the 'wild boy of Quintesson', using a sling and a knife to kill every Sharkticon that crossed his path. Genius. If I recall correctly, he even had a 'Sharkticon's teeth' necklace.

They could even get the 'speaking in rhyme' thing right if they concentrate, it worked ok in Space Pirates.
