IDW have released their solicitations for Transformers comic in August and one of the things that caught my eye is the incentive cover for Animated issue 1:

I think that looks bloody fantastic. It's nice to see the Animated style with a bit more detail.

I'm not too impressed. It looks a bit too 'fan-art' for my liking. Also Sari has knobbly knees.

Alex Milne drew that yonks ago *as* Fan Art- wonder why they're choosing it as a cover.

Not that I dislike it- it's one of my fave pics of his.

I love it,
Also if thety are doing sari as alot older it would fit in with the comics being more darker and less kiddie.

I've still not seen any of these cartoons or read the comics yet.

Worth getting stuck in?

Hey, I haven't watched any Animated episodes either. I have season 1 still waiting for me, but so are the entire G.I. Joe and MASK series.

Well, yeah, you'd think so.  Thing is, though, I've also never seen episodes from Armada, Cybertron or Energon, and only 2 episodes from all the Japanese series!  Haven't watched any Beast Wars this side of the millennium.  I would pick some of these sets up, but space is very limited in my room right now, and my finances are somewhat strained!  However, as I type these very words, that first issue is being addressed...

Sari looks older because- as far as I'm aware- it was a piece of fan art. People wondered what she'd look like, and so he drew it on a whim. Seems IDW took a fancy to it as well.

I don't understand the point behind having a comic book whose title includes the word "animated" at all. Am I the only person here who thinks that's weird?

It can't be helped, Hasbro were the bright sparks that decided to name the series Animated after we were used to calling it Heroes.

Sorry but at that age she might be more acceptable in the series instead of annoying. The Picture look good.
