After the Time Wars storyline the movie future became no longer THE future. It got changed into just a possible future or an alternate future or not the future or something like that. Does anybody know what issue(s) that was stated in? Also, I'd appreciate if somebody could clarify the details. Like whether it became just one of many possible futures or it became a future that wasn't going to happen or whatever. And what was it that was less likely to happen/not going to happen, the whole movie and follow-up future, just the Unicron coming in 2006 part or what, like was the whole Megatron-and-Optimus-have-a-final-battle-at-Autobot-city thing as seen in the movie now changed, the whole movie?

I'd greatly appreciate any help anybody could give me with this.

After Time Wars, Rodimus Primes' future splintered into a parallel universe and continued with it's own stories (mostly in B&W), whilst the UK/US continuity carried on in it's own direction and eventually became G2 (US version). That's what I think anyway.

I don't believe it was ever stated because the effects of Time Wars was so obvious- IE- Unicron attacking and his defeat by Optimus Prime and the death of just about *everyone*.

Thanks for replying. :) Anybody else who has any answers I'd appreciate your input too. I could really use as much input as possible on this.

Well there's also the last UK Marvel story, Another Time Another Place, which is it at odds with G2, and there's Uk G2 from Fleetway. So I'm not sure what the UK Marvel comics continue into, Another Time Another Place, US G2 or UK G2. Not to mention where does Prime's Rib (set in 1995) fit in. Transformers continuity is so complicated.

Also, does the timeline going into G2 rule out the movie happening a decade later? Megatron and Optimus maybe could have changed back to original-style bodies for the movie.

Well, people who were killed fighting Unicron were mostly not in the movie or came back alive again. And there’s people killed in the Underbase story, but some of those were shown to come back and transformers are always being resurrected, sometimes without explanation. And Unicron could have come back alive again after being killed off in 1991.

But it is true that Unicron coming in 1991 is at odds with the movie future, because in the movie you get the clear impression that Unicron hadn’t come before, and the later Rodimus future makes it clear that the movie was Unicron’s first coming. But does that discrepancy mean the movie isn’t going to happen in the mainstream future? And is the whole movie not going to happen or is it just the Unicron bits that are out? Like what about the decepticons taking over the autobot shuttle and going to attack Autobot City, is that not going to happen as we saw it in the movie?

I like to think it doesn't, no. It's more amusingly complicated that way. ^^
