Furman finally proves he can write a contained story! Huzzah!
Interesting and well scripted, with a thoughtful look at Wheelie's character, even if his Man Friday explanation for his speech was more than a little contrived.
Has Furman come out of his rut?

It looks like it will be a while before the wall paintings come into play.

This is up there with the Kup spotlight in terms of stand-alone quality, and the explanation for the rhyming was adequate, although some of those rhymes were a tad contrived. Bit disappointed by the relatively pointless deaths of Reflector, especially considering that they were part of the original tv line-up and such. The additional materials were quite interesting, and the lil formers shorts much better than some of the mosaics they've bothered to print in the past. As for the quintessons showing up in the future at some point, i'll just say i'm more impressed by that than any of this nemmynova nonsense.

I'm quite sad the mosaic that I made with Sixshot hasn't been printed. Mine was an early one, and they did seem to be printing them in order at first. Mine was due around now.

I think Sharkiticon wall paintings should have been used first - leading towards the quints later on. But enjoyed this a hell of a lot more than i thought i would.

But the sharkticons aren't threatening or scary. At all.

What's to say they wouldn't get a significant redesign?

Never thought I'd say this, but...
More Wheelie! Now!
It completely redeemed the character in my eyes, and is easily one of the best Spotlights to date. Who'd have thought?
Great retro-style cover, too.

It seems to steal a lot stylistically from the 'Wheelie - Wild Boy Of Quintesson' 80s storybook. Or at least my brain thinks it does.

I asked the question because it's not the first time he's wandered into a thread and made a comment about something that's neither about what's being discussed, or of questionable validity.
We don't approve of people trying to boost their post counts is all.

Absolutely - you're right.
I've been saying for ages and ages I'd like to see a modern-day equivalent of the Big Looker storybook you're talking about to redeem Wheelie, and Furman amazingly managed it.
I'm not a huge fan of bringing in yet more new species as major characters (cannon fodder like the Klovians or the various victim worlds of Matrix Quest are fine though) when there's already so many characters that could be used instead, but I guess it was necessary here, and it worked pretty well.
Thoroughly enjoyable. Not quite up there with the Kup spotlight, but definitely the best thing since that. Needed more Outback, he's a good kid.

I was going to skip this one but in the end read it and enjoyed the little adventure and it was nice to have a stand alone story instead of trying to link them all together. Maybe Furman should do this more often as it more enjoyable and you can have fun with it.

Well, that's kind of what the spotlight stories should be, stand-alone stories. Fine, occasionally have links to the main story, but not in such a way that makes it essential reading for the main series or vice versa.
