*second thoughts is this the right thread?*
Probably a silly question, but what are the policies for one hit wonders on the TF Forum? I mean guys who join and leave again without ever posting or coming back? don't they clog the system or something? Would it not be better to give duds a certain amount of time then expire them? Or is there a reason for this that I am not seeing? I'm not fussing tis just a question! take John Doe for example:

On another forum where I moderate, if new members pop up and then do nothing for , say a month, we delete them. Free's up forum names for other people too then, trouble with this place is that there are hundreds of members, as I imagine it has to be done manually it would be a LOT of work.

We do clear out our member database from time to time. It's the reason why we only have 2500 members instead of 3000. If you look at sites like TFW2005 and Seibertron, both with 30,000 members, neither have deleted inactive members ever.

what about banned members, can you delete their names to free them up or do you have to keep them banned, just incase?

Heh, would you really want another person being able to use names of banned members?

Letting the names free to be taken would be a free-for-all wheey!

Yeah, I could just imagine there being a mad dash to claim ownership of GOTU, Vector_PrimeX2K, Valor, and TransFaggers...
